This book was such a disappointment. Father Sebastian organizes the "virtues" alphabetically and denotes about a paragraph's worth of material on each subject per page. This was not informative to someone who has read his other material and was a total waste of money.
There is a lot of shameless self promotion in this book and Father Sebastian likes to make it clear that you cannot be a real vampyre if you haven't gone through the "transformation" process of his fangsmithing. In laymens terms, if you aren't paying Father Sebastian money and promoting his career, then you really aren't in the the "cool" vampires.
Father Sebastian, try writing a new book when you can come up with ideas. I could have written this garbage in a few hours while being so intoxicated off of cheap malt liquor that I have to take vomit breaks in between my definitions of each word.
Absolutely mesmerizing. This is a must have for any one that loves this style. I couldn't stop reading. Father Sebastian is a very talented man.
As a sociologist, having observed the vampyre subculture evolve over the past two decades, both first-hand and through literature and popular culture, I can say that this book is one of the better publications out there for understanding the "what's going on" kind of questions that an outsider or one on the fringes of this subculture might have. Each entry defines and explains a norm, term, custom, or practice among those who consider themselves "vampyres." But there are no delusions of the undead here, as reading this book will show. The vampyre tradition is about personal power and enlightenment, and communion with like-minded others who share proclivities for the darker, more "gothic" side of life. Truly a fascinating read!
This is a great little fun book of empowering words. It can help those seeking knowledge about themselves and virtues to aspire to better themselves. Mastering these is just a commonsense path for a free happy life. The format is clear and really helps break down what it is to be a Vampyre. I definitely would recommend this.

I liked the book, however, it was nothing new for me after reading several other authors that have mentioned most of the same material, maybe each author add their personal touch if you will. All in all, if your new to the subject, you will find it informative, and a good read.
Not quite what I expected, it's merely a dictionary or glossary of terms that are used (AND ALSO DEFINED) in the other books in the series, but I suppose it's there if you just need a quick bit of reference material.
